The safety of our visitors, volunteers, staff and rangers are of the utmost importance for the Habitat Authority. Following recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the state of California, and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the Habitat Authority has carefully evaluated all upcoming events and gatherings and will postpone public programs until a time when the concern for community spread has subsided. This includes postponement of Earth Day events, hikes and educational programs.
While enjoying the beautiful outdoors, please remember to take the following precautions for the safety of yourself and others:
- If you are experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), please stay home. Stay home for at least 24 hours after you no longer have a fever.
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Limit close contact with people who are sick.
- Please implement social distancing measures while visiting the Preserve
